Securing a notable Glasgow cultural venue

Background

A valued client contacted Clearway to request a locksmith for 8.30am the following morning to take possession of their Glasgow-based asset. Due to the site’s high-risk profile, a security guard was recommended for the same morning and the whole weekend, this was initially declined by the client but later agreed, and we attended site at 8.30am with a locksmith and security guard.

Solution

Locks were changed (13 in total) to secure the building, it was further recommended that twice-daily security patrols should be put in place for 10 days following the removal of the security guard.

These recommendations were agreed and implemented, and Clearway assumed full responsibility for keyholding and response.

After the 10 day period, a follow up site meeting was held with the property manager to review requirements. At this point a vulnerable fire exit on a 3rd floor stairwell was identified, the client also agreed to have the public bar and basement windows secured with steel sheeting, which our teams completed on the same day.

A proposal was also sent to the client to secure the large frontage openings, which was agreed and completed as soon as scaffolding was erected on site.

Outcome

The client’s asset is now fully secured, and benefits from weekly vacant property inspections for peace of mind. All agreed works were completed on time and to budget, the client was extremely satisfied with the results.
