Decommissioned power station situated in 130 acres in North Yorkshire, England.

What we were faced with:

  • Plant being secured with 14 manned guards and controlled via on site control room
  • Antiquated CCTV systems in place
  • Annual spend in excess of £2m per annum
  • Threat of activity from urban explorers

The Clearway Solution:

  • Ten Temporary CCTV Tower systems with analytics and remote perimeter detection
    Remote monitoring
  • Two active K9 and manned guards with links to control room
  • Access to drone monitoring during periods of high activity

Results:

  • Increased level of security with laser focused approach to areas of site with unwanted activity
  • Utlilisation of analytics to determine hot spots and site activity
  • Re-allocation of £1.5m p/a savings to refurbishment of site/plant

WIND TURBINE INSTALLATIONS

  • Remote installation of turbines and blades to 14 ‘pads’ across a 6sq km site
  • Value of cabling and equipment on site at any one time in excess of £14m
  • Customer experience of security organisations had been tarnished

  • Installation of 12 CCTV Solar Powered CCTV systems with perimeter and area technology ‘fencing’ linked
  • Mobile patrol vehicle dedicated to site for the 26 week installation period
