Background
As part of the Black Country Living Museum’s expansion, Dudley’s Woodside Library was completely dismantled and moved brick-by-brick to form part of the Museum’s new 1940s-1960s high street.
The new contractor invited Clearway to tender for the installation of a previously-spec’d Gent advanced fire detection and alarm solution alongside a new security system.
Solution
Working with our approved Gent Integrator we installed and commissioned the fire system. A Grade 2 Texecom intruder system was also installed throughout the building, as well as additional access control. Clearway also supplied, installed and successfully tested a CCTV system for the building.
Outcome
The new library is now fully protected against fire and intrusions, meeting all required standards for public safety. The additional door access and new CCTV System was added to the site’s existing network for a centralised strategy. The finished project was handed over to the client on time.
