Warehousing
Warehouse management: To outsource an existing warehouse and distribution
function to a third party, it is a major step and one that could carry considerable
risk unless managed and implemented with the utmost precision. We minimise this
risk by working with you to implement services step by step and at a pace that best
suits your circumstances.
Advanced high bay warehousing: Clearway's high bay facilities feature narrow
aisle racking with pallet capacity varying at each location. These warehouses also
feature super flat floors and also incorporate wire guidance systems for material
handling equipment.
Inventory control: We have implemented a warehouse Radio Frequency system
that transmits data to and from terminals based on material handling equipment and
walkabouts. Our inventory management system has full connectivity to our network.
In future this will allow us to track a consignment from picking within our warehouse
to loading on our trucks to delivery to the destination.
Cycle counting: Inventory cycle counts are performed on a continuous basis
by our dedicated inventory management teams. Cycle count frequency is decided in
conjunction with Clearway customers.
Activity based warehousing:Clearway operates a flexible warehousing policy,
enabling our customers to store as little or as much of their products as necessary
and at specified times. This allows our customers to pay for Clearway services against
a flexible activity based cost model.
