Vehicle Tracking

Clearway have developed our own in house vehicle tracking system. We did this to provide maximum flexibility in our operation and to allow us to respond quickly to specific customer and contract requirements.

All our fleet are fitted with Ruggedised PDA's which are fitted with GPS units.

The software integrates in to our transport management system and allocates work directly to a drivers screen.

The system gives the driver all the information he needs to complete the delivery including booking times and any special instructions. The system also provides turn by turn spoken navigation to ensure the driver gets to his delivery point on time.

Arrival and departure times are logged and signatures captured on the device allowing us to give you real time updates on delivery progress via our secure website.

We also use this information to give you valuable key performance indicators showing our order fulfilment, on time delivery and turnaround times at delivery points.

The PDA's also have cameras built in allowing drivers to take pictures of product; these pictures are then tied to the specific job and transmitted back to our servers where they can be viewed. This can allow real time problem resolution at delivery point resulting in fewer failed deliveries.

Bespoke functions can be provided to our customers, for example we can use geo fences to alert you when a vehicle is 15 minutes away from a delivery point or 15 minutes away from your premises. This can be expanded to facilitate green lane or fast track solutions with our system receiving an instruction back – such as go to bay 15.
